Part one—The Goblin

 “Once there were three men. They were all brave. But one day there was a huge goblin who had devil horns and duck feet. He grabbed all the men and gobbled them up,” said Harold, Lily's dad. 

“No way,” Lily said, surprised. She thought it was real. 

“If you’re not scared of anything, he will eat you,” said her father. 

“Stop telling Lily scary stories,” said Taylor, Lily's mom.  

“Is it true mama, is it?” said Lily. 

Lily and her mom decided to watch the end of a scary movie to get ready for fright fest the next day.

“Boo!” said Harold, the ugly monster. 

"Ah, the goblin!” screamed Lily. 

“Harold!” said Taylor.  

“What?” 

“You scared Lily,” said Taylor. “Now say the goblin isn’t real.” 

“The goblin isn’t real,” said Harold. 

“Yay!” Lily grinned. 

They walked down the hall. Lily’s sister ran out of her room. 

“I’m not scared of anything!” Lily’s sister, Noelle, said.

 Then everyone ate dinner, and at 8:00 everyone went to sleep. 

The goblin flew through an open window and into Noelle’s room. 

When Noelle was in her bed the goblin took her. 

Noelle screamed “AHHHH!!!’’

“Ha” the goblin said. 

The next day, Lily went down to the kitchen.

“Where is Noelle?” asked Lily.

 “Probably upstairs,” said her mom. 

“I’m going to see her.” The wooden steps creaked beneath her feet as Lily slowly tip toed up the stairs. “Ahhhhhhh!!!!”

“What?” hollered Taylor as she ran up the stairs. 

“She’s GONE!” gasped Lily. 

Dad ran out of his room. “The goblin probably got her.” 

“Quit playing that goblin game!” snapped Taylor.

 “Why?” questioned Harold. 

“You’re scaring Lily.” 

Harold grinned. “I think she must have gone to Nikki, her best friend’s house, early.” 

They went to Nikki’s house.

Nikki sobbed. “No Noelle isn’t here. I’m sorry for what happened to here but she might be at Katie’s house.”

They went to Katie’s house.

“No, Noelle isn’t here. But she might be at the fright fest,” grinned Katie.

 Come on guys let’s go to the fright fest,” said Taylor.

 “Yay fright fest,” said Lily.

The goblin was right in front of the line, but he was invisible and he had Noelle. Since the Goblin had hold of her hand, Noelle was also invisible. When the family got there Harold saw there were FREE CUPCAKES. They got 3 costumes, 100 tickets, 2 refill drinks, and 3 tubs of popcorn. 

 “Go watch a movie and put on your costume,” said Taylor.

 “Okay,” said Lily.

Noelle jerked away from the Goblin. The minute her hand stopped touching his, she could be seen again. She ran to Lily. 

 “NOELLE!” Lily gasped. 

The invisible goblin was right behind Lily and was about to eat her, but then Lily screamed because a clown was in front of her and she was scared of clowns. 

“Good grief,” said the goblin. “It’s ridiculous to be scared of clowns!” With that, he went to another movie and ate a group of boys. 

Hearing Lily scream, the parents ran into the movie theater.

“Yay! We found Noelle,” said the family.
